Fancy Orange

Fancy Orange - while yellow diamonds are the most common fancy diamonds, their close relatives, orange diamonds, are among the rarest. They obtain their color through the same effects as yellow diamonds, with an additional selective absorption in the visible color band, the cause of which is unknown. The most famous orange diamonds are likely the 5.54 ct. "Pumpkin" and the 14.82 ct. "The Orange", which is also the largest known fancy vivid orange diamond.
