Fancy Brown

Fancy Brown - also marketed under fanciful names such as Champagne, Cognac, or Chocolate. The color is due to distortions in the crystal lattice (the arrangement of molecules) during growth. Brown diamonds are becoming increasingly popular, especially in combination with rose gold jewelry. Among the most famous brown diamonds are the "Golden Jubilee" of the Thai royal family and the "Incomparable Diamond," the third largest cut diamond in the world.
